I had quite an elaborate setting in mind this morning.  I attached my slider to two tripods which were inverted and then attached the Emotimo TB3, also upside down, onto this.  The camera attached to the Emotimo and the idea was for the camera to slide very close to the ground while running a time lapse sequence.

After spending 20 minutes getting the hardware set up, I connected the battery to the Emotimo, but nothing happened.  I struggled about 10 minutes trying to figure out what’s the problem and then gave up on the whole idea.  The sun was rising fast and I was missing out on sweet light conditions.

It was only back at the hotel that I realized the problem was with my controller’s batteries which died unexpectedly.

Sometimes you just need to grid your teeth and get on with the job.
