Having just finished a sunset time lapse on the other side of this hill, I packed up all the camera gear and headed for my vehicle, which was parked overlooking the beautiful Franschhoek Valley on the top of Franschhoek Pass.
As I turned the corner, I noticed that my car looked like a advertisement out of a magazine…wow! The light basking this valley was utterly amazing!
I plopped down my backpack, fumbled with the straps that was holding my tripod, zipped open the compartment with the camera gear and fanatically tried to connect the camera with the tripod at lightning speed.
I hopped here and there to try and get the right angle, exposure and focus. I managed to get a whole 10 photos in before the light completely faded minutes later. This one made the cut. 😀
After all this years of photographing sunsets, it still manages to catch me off guard… I guess that is why I love landscapes, it always surprises me no matter how many times I shoot them.
