Affectionately known by fishermen as ‘Die Plaat’ (Afrikaans for the ‘The Flatland’), this stretch of coast is one of the most scenic I have ever had the opportunity to explore.
Amazing sandstone cliffs makes way to endless sand beaches as far as the eye can see. Dolphins and whales swim within meters from these cliffs, making it an ideal whale watching area to tourists traveling to South Africa.
Walker Bay Nature Reserve, is situated between Hermanus and De Kelders and a favorite fishing spot to locals and visitors alike.
This nature reserve is one of my top 5 in South Africa. Worth a visit on your travels!
